Saudi HR Tech Startup ZenHR Raises $6M Bridge Round Led by Impact46
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – ZenHR, a leading Saudi human resources (HR) technology startup, has successfully closed a $6 million bridge round led by Impact46. The new funding will fuel the next phase of growth for the HR tech platform, which is already active in 11 markets across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Strategic Focus: Platform Expansion and AI Integration
The capital will be primarily allocated to expanding ZenHR’s core platform capabilities. The company plans to accelerate the development of its solutions for:
- Employee management
- Recruitment
- Performance management
- Skills assessment
Additionally, ZenHR will continue to develop ZenEWA, its innovative solution that allows employees to access a portion of their already-earned salary before the standard payday.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents another major pillar of this new growth phase. ZenHR intends to deepen its investment in AI to make its HR tools smarter and enhance the utilization of employee-related data. The company now positions its platform as a comprehensive system covering the entire employee lifecycle, featuring an AI layer designed to transform raw HR data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Company Background and Market Position
Founded in 2017 by Yousef Shamoun and Mohamad Haj Hasan, ZenHR has built its business model around the specific needs of MENA markets, with a strong focus on local labor laws, payroll, taxation, and compliance. According to its official website, the platform is now localized for 11 countries in the region.
This latest funding round follows a previous $10 million raise announced in 2022, led by Rua Growth Fund. At that time, ZenHR reported approaching the milestone of 1,000 clients and 100,000 users across the region.
Looking Ahead
With this new capital, ZenHR’s ambitions extend beyond simply strengthening its core HR software. The startup is aiming to broaden its offering into a holistic ecosystem that combines employee management, recruitment, performance tracking, skills assessment, early wage access, and artificial intelligence.
The key challenge for ZenHR will be translating this new investment into tangible commercial growth and widespread adoption of these new services. This transition will serve as a primary indicator of the company’s success in its next phase of development.
