Yango Expands its Urban Mobility Platform in Cameroon
Launched in Cameroon in November 2021, the Yango urban mobility platform is confirming its presence in the country and announcing a gradual expansion across the national territory. With over 150,000 active users per month in Douala and Yaoundé, Yango has established itself as a major player in Cameroonian urban transport. The platform also claims to have created over 6,000 direct and indirect jobs, as well as active partnerships with over 150 local transport companies.
Expansion Plans
The next step in this deployment is already planned: Bafoussam, the country's third-largest economic city, will soon host the platform's services, marking the beginning of an expansion that is expected to reach other Cameroonian cities in the coming years. Beyond people transport, Yango intends to diversify its offer. Package delivery, home food delivery, and integration into digital payment solutions are among the announced development axes.
A Market with High Potential
The company, present in over 30 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe, considers Cameroon a market with high potential. With its gradual expansion, Yango aims to consolidate its position as a leader in urban mobility in Cameroon, while exploring new opportunities for growth and development.
