WildyNess, Tunisian Startup, Announces Successful Pre-Seed Funding Round
In contrast to mass tourism giants that sell standardized attractions, WildyNess, a Tunisian startup, has established itself as the go-to platform for authentic travel experiences and Community-Based Tourism (CBT). Today, the startup announces the closure of its first strategic pre-seed funding round.
The round, whose amount has not been disclosed, was co-led by the Bridging Angels network and the African Diaspora Network. This investment is a first for the regional travel tech ecosystem, positioning WildyNess as the first and only travel marketplace (B2C/B2B2C) in North Africa to announce a pre-seed funding round. While local venture capital has largely focused on FinTech, WildyNess has successfully proven a new vertical with high potential: the market for sustainable experiences.
Investor confidence was built on exceptional organic traction. Before raising a single dollar, WildyNess validated its model by generating over $300,000 in sales since its launch in 2022, all without any paid marketing budget.
"This investment validates our thesis: the future of travel is not about volume, but about authenticity and impact," said Achraf Aouadi, co-founder of WildyNess. "Generating $300,000 in organic sales proves that travelers are desperately seeking real connections, not generic attractions. Having the support of the African Diaspora Network and Bridging Angels gives us not only capital but also a strategic bridge to international markets as we export this Tunisian success across the MENA region."
Founded by engineers Achraf Aouadi and Rym Bourguiba, WildyNess uses its B2B2C model to empower micro-tourism entrepreneurs. The raised capital will be used to fuel WildyNess' regional expansion in Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as to strengthen its technological platform.
"We are proud to support African startups and entrepreneurs who not only bring a new vision to their sectors but do so with rigorous discipline and constant attention to their customers. WildyNess and its team are the perfect example," said investors from Bridging Angels.
