WhatsApp Develops New Feature to Send Messages to Meta AI for Contextual Insights
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to forward messages to Meta AI to gain more context. Since April 2024, Meta AI has been integrated into WhatsApp to answer user questions, provide advice, and generate content. Until now, it was not possible to directly transfer received messages or media to the AI chatbot, but that's about to change.
Forwarding Messages to Meta AI
WhatsApp will soon allow users to select Meta AI from their contact list when forwarding a message. This feature is currently available on WhatsApp for Android. In addition to forwarding a message, users will be able to ask a question via a new "Ask a question" box that will appear during the forwarding process.
Providing Context for Accurate Responses
If no context is provided, Meta AI will simply analyze the message and generate a response. However, to verify the authenticity of a message, it is recommended to ask questions such as "Is this information correct?" to guide the AI in its analysis.
Feature Still in Development
This feature is still under development, and the public launch date has not been specified.
