Electric Accumulators, Medical Devices, and X-Ray Generators Top Tunisia's Exports to Rwanda

Electric accumulators, medical devices, and X-ray generators are the top three products exported by Tunisia to Rwanda, accounting for 54% of total exports in 2023. Olive oil also features on this list, according to a note from the Tunisian Export Promotion Center (Cepex) on trade exchanges between the two countries.

Moreover, this African market is offering increasingly more opportunities for Tunisians. In fact, by the end of April 2024, the value of Tunisia's exports to Rwanda, which is Tunisia's 36th largest African client, has recorded a 300% increase over the past year, rising from 0.5 to 2 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd).

It is worth noting that Tunisia does not import anything from Rwanda.

Furthermore, what is particularly interesting in this Cepex note is the value of the untapped potential with this country, amounting to approximately $806,000. This concerns products such as diammonium phosphate, electricity meters, and virgin olive oil.
