Changi Airport Crowned World's Best Airport for 2025
Singapore's Changi Airport has been named the world's best airport for 2025 at the World Airport Awards held in Madrid. This marks the 13th time Changi has received this prestigious distinction, a record in the history of the awards presented by British organization Skytrax.
In addition to this top honor, Changi also took home awards in three other categories: Best Airport for Dining, Best Airport Toilets, and Best Airport in Asia.
Behind Changi, the 2025 ranking places Hamad Airport (Qatar) in second position, followed by Tokyo Haneda (Japan), Incheon (South Korea), and Narita (Japan). Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport came in seventh and retained its title as Best Airport in Europe for the third consecutive year.
Several other airport platforms were recognized in specific categories. Tokyo Haneda was named the Cleanest Airport in the World, while Copenhagen took home the award for Best Security Check. Hong Kong was recognized for its Immigration Service, and Incheon for its Staff Performance.
Regional and Size-Based Awards
In Africa, Cape Town International Airport won two awards: Best Airport in Africa and Best Staff Service. In India, Delhi remained the Best Airport in the country and in South Asia, while Hyderabad was praised for its Customer Service.
Skytrax also recognized airports based on their size. Tokyo Haneda topped the list for hubs serving over 70 million passengers, followed by Changi for the 60-70 million passenger range. In the small airport category (less than 5 million passengers), Goa Manohar in India took first place.
Airport Hotels Also Honored
On the accommodation front, the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport was named Best Airport Hotel in the World and Best in Asia. In North America, the TWA Hotel at New York JFK won the award for the second time. Other establishments, such as the Taj Bangalore in India and the Hyatt Regency Shenzhen in China, also shone.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are based on the opinions of millions of passengers worldwide. Each year, they provide an overview of the best performances in the air transport industry.
