Tunisia's Electoral Body Announces Budget for Presidential Election
The Independent Higher Authority for Elections (ISIE) has announced a global budget of 92 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd) for the organization of the presidential election.
A portion of this amount is allocated to several key ministries:
- 11 Mtnd for the Ministry of National Defense
- 4 Mtnd for the Ministry of the Interior
- 2 Mtnd for the Ministry of Education, given that many polling stations are located in schools
The Official Printing Office of the Tunisian Republic has been allocated approximately 7 Mtnd.
Only office and computer equipment were acquired through the private sector, for an amount not exceeding 4 Mtnd.
To limit costs, the authority has increased the number of polling stations to over 5,000, while reducing the number of offices from 11,000 to approximately 9,000.
