New Classification of Road Traffic Offenses and Associated Fines in 2025
The article 49 of the 2025 finance law imposes a revision of the classification of road traffic offenses and the associated fines, reorganizing them from five to three categories.
The current categories (1st category: 6 dinars, 2nd category: 10 dinars, 3rd category: 20 dinars) are merged into a new 1st category, which will group offenses with a fixed fine of 20 dinars.
The current 4th category is transformed into a new 2nd category, while maintaining the fine amount at 40 dinars.
The current 5th category becomes a new 3rd category, with the fine amount maintained at 60 dinars.
