Visa Announces Strategic Investments and Partnerships with Two African Fintech Startups

Visa, the global leader in digital payments, has announced new strategic investments and commercial partnerships with two startups, Konnect (Tunisia) and PayTic (Morocco), both of which participated in its "Africa Fintech Accelerator" program, launched in 2023.

This program, which is part of Visa's commitment to invest $1 billion in financial inclusion in Africa by 2027, has already supported 64 startups across three cohorts. Following initial funding granted to four companies from the first edition, Visa is continuing its strategy of supporting innovation on the continent.

Konnect enables instant payments through links sent via SMS, email, or messaging, while PayTic offers automation solutions for back-office operations and risk management in digital payments. These investments aim to support their development and reinforce the digital transformation of financial services in Africa.
