Poultry and White Meat Prices to Remain Capped in Tunisia
The President of the National Chamber of Poultry and White Meat Merchants, Ibrahim Nefzaoui, has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the Ministry of Commerce to continue capping poultry prices, despite the initial deadline of February 8.
In an interview on Jawhara FM on Thursday, February 6, Nefzaoui predicted a possible decrease in poultry prices, particularly given the estimated 90% increase in supply.
He also confirmed that Ramadan stocks are already prepared, a full month in advance. This marks the first time in several years that the industry has achieved this feat, with stocks ready a month before the start of Ramadan.
