Upcycl'Art & Design: A Celebration of Sustainable Art and Local Talent

Startup Village Hosts the Highly Anticipated Second Edition of Upcycl'Art & Design

On January 10, 2025, the Startup Village welcomed the long-awaited launch of the second edition of Upcycl'Art & Design, a groundbreaking exhibition showcasing the art of upcycling. In partnership with the Tunisian Designers Alliance (ATD), this event offered the public an immersive experience into the creative universe of passionate Tunisian artists who reinvent everyday life with recycled materials.

A Fascinating Exhibition

The exhibition, which runs until February 3, 2025, presents a series of fascinating works, ranging from transformed furniture to sculptures and revalued clothing. Each piece tells a unique story, where the ordinary becomes a masterpiece thanks to the ingenuity of the artists. This project, which values sustainability while celebrating local creativity, highlights the importance of upcycling as an artistic and environmental practice.

Supporting Local Talent

This year, over 40 exceptional talents were selected from 105 artists who responded to a call for applications launched in July 2024. These creators had the opportunity to participate in specialized training sessions, including mastering shooting techniques and online presence, developing viable economic models for their passion, and strategies to improve their digital visibility.

Promoting Local Creations

Beyond its artistic aspect, the event also promotes local creations. The exhibited works are available for sale on the Iley'com platform, allowing artists to reach an international audience. This initiative directly supports local creativity and enables art enthusiasts to discover and acquire Tunisian works, contributing to the global diffusion of Tunisian art.

A Shared Vision

The event was made possible thanks to the support of the Groupe Kilani, partner of this edition, which shares the vision of promoting innovation and valuing local talent.

A Manifesto for Sustainable Art

In summary, this edition of Upcycl'Art & Design is more than just an exhibition – it's a true manifesto for sustainable art, creative recycling, and support for Tunisian artists, offering a new perspective on the art of tomorrow.
