UNESCO Announces Applications for "Youth for Peace: Intercultural Leadership" Program
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has announced the opening of applications for the first edition of the "Youth for Peace: Intercultural Leadership".
According to a statement, the program consists of:
- Online workshops (formation) followed by
- The development of a project aligned with the initiative's priorities and objectives (intercultural dialogue and its role in achieving social cohesion), and finally
- **Definitive membership in the global alumni network.
For its first year, the program will focus on the theme: "Learning to collaborate for a common future: using dialogue to foster social cohesion in a rapidly changing world".
Eligibility criteria:
- Be between 25 and 45 years old
- Have leadership experience in civil society
- Be carrying out a community project in one of the program's areas of intervention, which can be completed within six months, and benefit from a $10,000 financial support.
This initiative aims to equip young leaders with the skills, knowledge, and resources to promote intercultural dialogue as a tool to address urgent global challenges.
