Egyptian EdTech Startup Farid Secures $250,000 Pre-Seed Funding from Saudi Investor Amal bint Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan

Egyptian educational technology startup Farid has secured a $250,000 pre-seed funding from Saudi investor Amal bint Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, coinciding with its strategic partnerships with schools across Egypt to accelerate its growth.

Founded by Mahmoud Hussein in 2024, Farid offers individualized support for character development and mental health to Arab children aged 3-18, and trains young people and graduates to become certified in its educational and psychological methods.

The pre-seed funding provided by Saudi businesswoman Amal bint Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan will support the expansion of the platform, the development of new training content, hiring, and entry into Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The company also plans to form partnerships with more schools and universities to expand its reach, aiming to increase its subscriber base to 20,000 within the next two years.
