Ministry of Tourism Announces New Measures to Boost Tourism Sector

The Ministry of Tourism has announced a series of measures aimed at preparing professionals in the sector for upcoming tourist seasons while accelerating digital transformation.

Key Priorities

The ministry's main objectives include:

  • Defining a common vision for digital promotion
  • Structuring the organization of advance bookings
  • Stimulating the development of domestic tourism

Integrated Digital System

The meeting highlighted the need to create an integrated digital system that can centralize all tourist data and harmonize different digital platforms. The goal is to make information more transparent and reliable, while also facilitating online bookings for travelers. This initiative will provide sector professionals with precise analysis tools, enabling them to optimize tourist flow management and better anticipate visitor needs.

New Initiatives

Several initiatives stand out among the announced measures:

Digital Platform for Tourist Restaurants

The Tunisian Federation of Tourist Restaurants (FTRT) will soon launch a digital platform that will group all tourist restaurants, present their offers, rates, and services, and offer various formulas adapted to Tunisian families and foreign visitors.

Development of Tourism in Inland Regions

Targeted circuits will be set up to destinations such as Kasserine, Gafsa, Siliana, or Gabès. These initiatives will be accompanied by dedicated digital content and promotional campaigns to attract travelers to these still little-visited areas.

Strengthening Cooperation and Digital Marketing

Hoteliers, travel agencies, booking platforms, and restaurants will now work in a more coordinated manner. Communication channels will be unified, and new digital tools will enable the production of more targeted and quality promotional content.

Offers Adapted to Tunisians

Special rates will be offered to Tunisian families during school vacations, taking into account purchasing power and booking habits, in order to stimulate domestic tourism.

Generalization of Advance Booking

This measure aims to better organize the tourist season, stabilize occupancy rates, and offer adapted offers to meet the needs of Tunisian travelers.

Ministry of Tourism Management

The Ministry of Tourism is committed to supporting the sector's professionals in their efforts to develop and promote Tunisian tourism, both domestically and internationally.
