Italian Delegation Explores Cooperation Opportunities in Tunisia
A delegation led by Moussa Habboubi, General Director of Digitarab Solution Consulting, paid a prospecting visit to Tunisia on June 2025. The objective: to study cooperation and investment opportunities in two key sectors - artificial intelligence applied to economic development, and healthcare, through the SMART-RSA project.
This innovative project aims to transform assisted living facilities for the elderly using advanced technologies such as domotics, telemonitoring, and AI. Ultimately, it seeks to establish a digital care structure that enhances the quality of life for seniors while strengthening medical follow-up efficiency.
This initiative is part of a broader dynamic: Italy is among the country's historical economic partners. According to the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) data, Italy is one of the top European investors in the country, with a significant presence in industrial, energy, and agri-food sectors. Today, Italian companies seem ready to explore new niches, particularly those related to emerging technologies.
A program of meetings with ministerial officials and concerned organizations has been set up to explore concrete possibilities of collaboration. This approach confirms the strategic interest in a renewed cooperation focused on innovation and social welfare.
