Tunisia Prepares to Host Pilot Project for Biological Medicines and Medical Equipment Manufacturing
Tunisia is gearing up to host a pilot project for the manufacturing of biological medicines and medical equipment, targeting African and Middle Eastern markets in sight. This partnership marks the first implantation of the Chinese company Zy CRO in the region.
The announcement was made following a meeting between the Minister of Health and a delegation from Zy CRO, specialized in biological medicines and clinical research.
This project aims to strengthen Tunisia's health sovereignty through technology transfer and the establishment of a national industrial base in a high-value-added sector. According to the Minister, Tunisia is ready to welcome this type of strategic investment, which could also make the country a regional hub for medical innovation.
Zy CRO, which conducts research and development activities in the pharmaceutical field, sees Tunisia as a strategic entry point to Africa and the Middle East, two regions with high demand for advanced health solutions.
