Launch of Platform for Self-Employed Individuals Scheduled for Late September
According to Adel Chouari, Director General of the National Enterprise Register (RNE), the launch of a platform for self-employed individuals is scheduled for late September. This initiative will benefit approximately 1.2 million people engaged in vulnerable activities, as specified by Chouari to the TAP agency. The platform aims to support vulnerable workers in various sectors, such as domestic work and delivery, by offering them social protection in the absence of specific regulations for these fields.
A Comprehensive Database for Vulnerable Workers
Managed by the RNE, the platform goes beyond economic objectives, seeking to fulfill a social role by establishing an exhaustive database for these categories of workers. Chouari explained that registration on the platform will be gradual.
Complementarity between Enterprises and the RNE
Regarding relations with enterprises, Chouari highlighted the complementarity between them and the RNE, which offers a protection device to enterprises. He emphasized the importance of mutual trust between the two parties. Any investor seeking a partner in Tunisia will need to turn to the RNE to obtain information, he concluded, adding that enterprises have every interest in sharing their data with the RNE, which guarantees their security.
