Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies Signs Memorandum of Understanding with South Korean Counterpart

The Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies, Nizar Ben Néji, has signed a memorandum of understanding with his South Korean counterpart. This agreement aims to support digital transformation and develop advanced e-government services, leveraging digital applications in various sectors such as digital health, smart transportation, and modern education.

Furthermore, this agreement will also promote innovation and consolidate high-speed internet networks, particularly by facilitating access to 5G services, an area in which South Korea is a pioneer.

The exchange of expertise and reinforcement of cutting-edge technology usage, including cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, are also on the agenda.

This signing took place during the 10th edition of the Global ICT Leadership Forum, held on June 4-5, concurrently with the first South Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul. Under the theme "Strengthening Korea-Africa Solidarity through Digital Innovation," the forum brought together 13 African ICT and digitalization ministers, as well as high-level officials from Korea and other African countries, to discuss strategies for achieving sustainable development goals through digital innovation.
