President Kais Saied Orders Inventory of Inefficient State Organizations

On Monday, January 13, President Kais Saied ordered an inventory of state organizations that fail to demonstrate significant usefulness. These organizations often represent an additional burden on the state budget without providing real added value in relation to their assigned role, according to the President.

During a meeting with Kamel Maddouri, Head of Government, Noureddine Nouri, Minister of Social Affairs, Mondher Belaid, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, and Riadh Chaoued, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, President Saied explained that the funds allocated to these useless organizations should be used to find radical solutions for those who have been victims of previous policies, which have only exacerbated poverty and exclusion.

He cited higher education, health, vocational training, and multiple other sectors as victims of these policies that need to be revoked. Saied also emphasized the need to change the labor code, both for the private and public sectors, and to put an end to subcontracting once and for all.

He concluded by stating that creating multiple organizations is not wise. Instead, it is essential to determine the real need for their creation and their effectiveness in achieving it.
