The Magazine Femmes Maghrébines Awards the 3rd Edition of the "Trophée de la Parité Professionnelle" to the Financial Sector
In partnership with Emrhod Consulting, The Magazine Femmes Maghrébines organized the 3rd edition of the "Trophée de la Parité Professionnelle" on Thursday, April 10, 2025, dedicated to the financial sector. This initiative aims to promote equal opportunities and value the concrete actions taken by various actors in banking, insurance, and microfinance institutions to foster inclusive governance.
This edition was also an opportunity to instigate a fruitful debate on gender equality in the financial sphere and to highlight good practices and the most committed institutions.
Tribute to the Union Internationale de Banques (UIB) and its President, Kamel Néji
A special tribute was paid to the Union Internationale de Banques (UIB) and its President, Kamel Néji, for his commitment and leadership in promoting professional equality, diversity, and inclusion within the UIB.
A Strong Affirmation of Vision
During the ceremony, Kamel Néji declared: "I am delighted to be among you on the occasion of this 3rd edition of the Trophée de la Parité Professionnelle ceremony by The Magazine Femmes Maghrébines. I thank you for this distinction, which honors not only me but also all the UIB collaborators. This distinction would be honorably awarded to many other institutions whose exemplary journey in terms of professional parity is remarkable."
He added: "At a time when diversity, equity, and inclusion policies are being challenged, the UIB remains committed to its values of professional equality and diversity. It remains faithful to its choices, despite calls for a 'masculine energy' surge in the professional world. Women are now active in the UIB's life, representing over 60% of its workforce and leadership. They are integrated equally into the Bank's decision-making bodies, with a 50% threshold in the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. This diversity fuels our dynamism, innovation, and sustainable, ethical development."
A Commitment to Women's Empowerment
Kamel Néji also stated: "At the UIB, we are committed to ensuring women's access to the highest echelons of the hierarchy and offering them a wide range of banking careers that match their ambitions. Their achievements will not lose their luster, as they are rooted in a corporate culture where women's place is a marker of our Bank's vitality."
Congratulations to the Magazine Femmes Maghrébines
Finally, Kamel Néji addressed his congratulations to the editorial board of The Magazine Femmes Maghrébines, which has kept its promise and legitimized its reason for being. "Hold your ground with courage and tenacity in the transformation process of our country," he concluded.
Recognition of a Lasting Commitment
Ilhem Bouaziz, President of the Féminin by UIB Association and Deputy General Manager of the Union Internationale de Banques in charge of Retail Banking, declared: "Since its creation in 2015, the Féminin by UIB Association has been committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and professional and personal development of women. It has constantly worked to break down barriers and create an environment where each woman can flourish and reach her full potential."
She noted that the UIB is the first company in Tunisia to have obtained the GEEIS (Gender Equality European & International Standard) label in 2019, an international recognition of its practices in terms of professional equality and inclusion. The Trophée de la Parité Professionnelle, awarded by The Magazine Femmes Maghrébines, confirms the solidity of a model built on the values of equal opportunities. At the UIB, parity is not an option, but a commitment to serving collective performance and progress.
