Tunisian Storyteller Sets Guinness World Record for Longest Narrative at Marrakech International Storytelling Festival
During his participation in the third edition of the Marrakech International Storytelling Festival, held from January 19 to 25, Tunisian storyteller Hichem Darouich made his mark in the Guinness World Records with the longest narrative in the world.
The festival brought together over 100 storytellers from 30 different countries, speaking 21 languages and dialects, to participate in this marathon that lasted 80 hours and 35 minutes non-stop.
Hichem Darouich, a storyteller inspired by Tunisian folklore, also led workshops in Moroccan schools and colleges, as well as a masterclass for students at the Faculty of Arabic Language in Marrakech, on the sidelines of the festival.
The record-holder tells his stories in Tunisian dialect, following the tradition of Fdaoui, and is the author of a collection of 20 stories titled "Darouich's Story Series".
