Moroccan Startup YoLa Fresh Raises $7 Million in Pre-Series A Funding

Just one year after its launch, Moroccan startup YoLa Fresh has secured $7 million in pre-series A funding. This investment, backed by a consortium of foreign investors, aims to support the company's growth in the domestic market.

Connecting Moroccan Farmers to Retailers

Based in Casablanca, YoLa Fresh directly connects small Moroccan farmers to fruit and vegetable retailers. Founded in early 2023 by Youssef Mamou and Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti, the startup draws inspiration from similar models in Latin America, China, and India, such as Frubana, Meicai, and Waycool.

Rapid Growth and Expansion

Since its launch, the startup has worked with over 1,000 retailers and records a monthly gross merchandise volume (GMV) of $1 million. This rapid growth has enabled the company to raise $7 million, a notable sum for a Moroccan startup.
