A significant change is shaking the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT). The Secretary General of the UGTT, Noureddine Taboubi, submitted his official resignation on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

According to several sources, the resignation letter was deposited at the central office of the organization, giving it a formal administrative character. This decision comes amidst strong internal tensions, marked by persistent disagreements within the union's leadership, particularly during recent meetings of the national administrative commission.
