Turkish Airlines Places Firm Order for 225 Boeing Aircraft
Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Turkey, has announced a firm order for 225 aircraft from American plane manufacturer Boeing. According to multiple sources, this deal includes 150 aircraft to be delivered between 2029 and 2034, with an additional 75 options.
Key Details of the Order
- The order comprises 150 Boeing 737-8/10 Max models, with 100 firm orders and 50 options.
- Currently, negotiations are also underway with Rolls-Royce and GE Aerospace for the supply of engines for the B-787, as well as maintenance services.
Turkish Airlines' Ambitious Expansion Plans
With a current fleet of 491 aircraft and over 320 destinations served, Turkish Airlines aims to renew its entire fleet by 2035. The airline, which signed a contract for 355 aircraft with Airbus in late 2023, expects an average annual growth rate of 6% thanks to these significant investments.
