6th Edition of the "Youth Lens on the Silk Roads" Photo Contest Now Open

The 6th edition of the "Youth Lens on the Silk Roads" photo contest is now open to young people aged 14 to 25. UNESCO has set the deadline for Sunday, July 14, 2024. This contest, part of UNESCO's "Silk Roads" program, aims to promote photography as an essential tool for fostering cultural exchange, intercultural understanding, and contributing to peace promotion in regions historically linked by these ancient trade routes.

Theme: "Celebrations of Life"

This edition invites young photographers to capture the energy and diversity of cultural festivities along the historic Silk Roads. The goal is to stimulate positive perspectives among young people in the face of current global challenges, while highlighting the rich cultural heritage and traditions along these historic trade routes.

Prizes

Winners will be rewarded in two age categories: 14-17 years old and 18-25 years old, with prizes including professional cameras for the top three winners in each group. The sixty best photographs will be published in a professional album titled "Youth Lens on the Silk Roads" and will have the opportunity to be exhibited in various locations around the world.
