Tunisian Health Minister Strengthens Ties with African Countries and International Organizations

On the sidelines of the 38th Ordinary Assembly of the African Union in Ethiopia, Tunisian Health Minister Mustapha Ferjani participated in meetings with African officials and representatives of international organizations. The goal of these meetings was to reinforce healthcare cooperation on the continent and support the development of vaccine production in Tunisia, solidifying its role as a leading medical center in Africa.

A highlight of these exchanges was a meeting with the CEO of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). The organization confirmed its support for Tunisia in the field of vaccine production, particularly through technology transfer and medical personnel training. This collaboration will enhance Tunisia's capabilities and support its efforts to become a key player in African health security.

Tunisia also explored avenues of cooperation with African countries such as Djibouti and Mauritania, focusing on critical areas like digital platforms, telemedicine, pharmaceutical industry, artificial intelligence, and organ transplantation. These initiatives demonstrate Tunisia's commitment to the health independence of the continent and highlight its strategic role in the development of healthcare in Africa.
