International Center for Environmental Technologies in Tunis Launches Key Training Session with GIZ
The International Center for Environmental Technologies in Tunis (CITET), in partnership with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), launched a crucial training session on Tuesday, January 21, as part of the Project for Accompanying the Ecological Transition of the Mobility Industry (PATE-IM). This training, organized at CITET's headquarters under the supervision of Kmaira Ben Jannet Mzali, General Director of the center, and Félix Sarrazin, GIZ Project Manager, aims to train a second group of national experts in carbon footprint assessment and the integration of social and environmental responsibility (RSE) strategies.
The intervention of an international expert enriched this session, reinforcing its impact on the 15 pioneering companies already involved in the pilot phase of the project.
Program Overview
The program, which runs from June 2023 to June 2026, targets a total of 115 Tunisian companies operating in the strategic sectors of the automotive and aviation industries, with technical support provided in two phases: 65 companies in the first phase and 50 in the second. In parallel, theoretical and practical RSE training will be offered to support around 50 companies from the same sectors, meeting the growing demands of international markets and new European regulations.
Partnership for Employment and SME Support in Tunisia
This initiative is part of the "Partnership for Employment and SME Support in Tunisia" program, mandated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It benefits from the collaboration of key actors such as the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA), the Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility in Tunisia (IRSET), and several industrial clusters, enhancing the competitiveness of Tunisian companies while supporting their ecological and sustainable transition.
