Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Launch of a Bridge Maintenance Project
A memorandum of understanding was signed today, May 29, 2024, marking the launch of a bridge maintenance project, resulting from a collaboration between JICA and the Ministry of Equipment and Housing.
Advancing Bridge Maintenance with Japanese Expertise
This project promises to bring advanced technology and Japanese expertise to Tunisia, aiming to establish a robust database and decision-support system. This system will be essential for the maintenance management of bridges, particularly the Radès-La Goulette bridge.
Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing
This signing will enable JICA to form a team of Japanese experts who will closely collaborate with the DGPC for three years, sharing their expertise and strengthening local capacities. The program will include specialized training sessions in Tunisia and Japan, focusing on project-related themes, as well as the provision of cutting-edge equipment to ensure the success of planned activities.
