Government Announcement: Aïd al-Fitr 2026 Holiday Dates
The Presidency of the Government has announced that state agents, local authorities, and public institutions will benefit from a three-day holiday on the occasion of Aïd al-Fitr 2026, which will take place on March 20, 21, and 22.
Expected Date of Aïd al-Fitr 2026
According to the Tunis City of Sciences, Aïd al-Fitr 2026 is expected to fall on Friday, March 20. However, only the Mufti of the Republic can officially confirm the end of the holy month.
Return to Work Schedule
After the celebration days, employees will return to work with a double shift schedule, following the winter schedule, starting from Wednesday, May 4, 2026:
- Monday to Thursday:
- 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Friday:
- 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
