Tunisia Embraces Agricultural Drones with New Legislation
The Tunisian Parliament has reached a new milestone by adopting additional article 135 of the law project, officially paving the way for the use of drones in the agricultural sector. This measure allows farmers to import and use drones specifically designed for agricultural activities, such as crop monitoring or targeted spraying. Article 135 was approved with 60 votes in favor, 29 against, and 14 abstentions, highlighting a lively debate around this technological advancement for the sector. The integration of these technologies could transform agricultural practices in Tunisia, making farms more efficient and sustainable.
