The Minister of Agriculture, Ezzeddine Ben Cheikh, launched the integrated Dinamo project on Monday, September 22, 2025, to develop mountain agriculture in Northwest Tunisia. This program aims to improve the living conditions of rural populations and strengthen their resilience to climate change.
Project Overview
Financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) with a contribution of 92 million dinars out of a total cost of 120 million, the project is implemented by the Commissariat for the Development of Forests and Pastures in the Northwest. Key Components
The program has two main components:
- Adaptation to Climate Change: This component focuses on improving access to drinking water, developing irrigated areas, conserving soil and water, and planting olive trees and fruit trees.
- Economic and Social Inclusion: This component aims to create income-generating projects, support micro-enterprises for women, youth, and people with special needs, promote local products, and improve rural roads.
