German Group LAPP to Establish Research and Development Center in Tunisia
The Tunisian ecosystem is set to welcome a research and development center from the German group LAPP, a world leader in industrial cables, wires, and accessories. This decision marks a strategic advancement for Tunisia's industrial ecosystem and confirms the country's attractiveness for high-value-added investments.
The announcement was made following a meeting between a delegation from the LAPP group and officials from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia). The German delegation was led by Michael Seddig, CEO and COO EMEA of the group, accompanied by Seif Allah Rached, Vice President and Head of Operations Harnessing EMEA. They were received by Jalel Tebib, Director General of FIPA-Tunisia, and Hatem Essoussi, Principal Director in charge of promoting high-value-added sectors.
Through this project, LAPP has chosen Tunisia as its regional platform for industrial innovation. The future research and development center will strengthen local capabilities in advanced industrial technologies and contribute to the country's positioning in high-tech segments. According to FIPA-Tunisia, this investment is based on several key factors, including a competitive business climate, the availability of highly qualified talent, and institutional commitment to productive investment.
