ComDev Africa Launches Youth Friendly Standard in Tunisia
Tunis, November 25, 2025 – ComDev Africa officially launches the Youth Friendly Standard (YFS) in Tunisia, an innovative international framework to promote inclusion and active engagement of young people in all sectors. Presented during the Youth Friendly Standards – Demo Day, this standard mobilizes Tunisian institutions around concrete and structured practices to integrate young people into governance and program design. Developed by WeBridge Africa and the Consortium Jeunesse Sénégal, with the support of the European Union, the Mastercard Foundation, and UNICEF, the YFS enables public, private, and associative organizations to make their services, programs, and spaces more inclusive, accessible, and effective, while valuing the voice and talent of young people.
Key Objectives in Tunisia:
- Raise awareness among structures about the importance of standards adapted to young people
- Engage at least ten Tunisian organizations
- Promote existing local initiatives
- Strengthen collaboration between young people and institutions through international tools
- Connect Tunisia to a pan-African dynamic and the African Union–European Union partnership
The AU–EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of Collective program is supported by an international consortium bringing together ComDev Africa, Oxfam, Search for Common Ground, Restless Development, and Youth Makers Hub.
