Inauguration of New High-Quality Laboratory Services in Tunisia
The Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mines, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, inaugurated new high-quality laboratory services on Tuesday, September 23, within the Technical Center for Food Industries (CTAA) and the Technical Center for Chemical Industries (CTC).
New Installations and Partnerships
These new facilities were established as part of the PACE-AMIT program, which aims to support competitiveness and exports, supervised by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the European Union and Germany, in collaboration with the ministry's services.
Laboratory Services and Benefits
The laboratories will offer, among other services, pesticide residue analysis for the food and chemical sectors, providing reliable results that meet European standards, strengthening quality control, and supporting the development of exports. This modernization of laboratory equipment will enhance the technical infrastructure for the pharmaceutical, mechanical, and cosmetics and perfumes industries, identified as strategic sectors in the national industrialization strategy.
Support for Tunisian Industries
The CTC will make its services available to:
- 70 companies in the oil and derivatives sector
- 250 companies in the plastics and rubber sector
- 562 companies in the cosmetics, perfumes, and cleaning products sector Thus, reinforcing support for Tunisian industrialists in improving quality and competitiveness.
