Economic Growth in Tunisia Expected to Improve Slightly from 2025-2027, Conditional on Drought Mitigation

The World Bank's spring 2025 bulletin, focusing on Tunisia, highlights that economic growth in Tunisia is expected to show a slight improvement from 2025-2027, provided the drought subsides. However, the risks weighing on this recovery remain substantial.

In its report published in April on the economic situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the World Bank forecasts a growth rate of 1.9%. This projection, however, remains conditional on a sustained improvement in precipitation, as well as a still-delayed recovery in the manufacturing sector.
