Economic Growth in Tunisia: A Moderate Improvement Expected
The World Bank forecasts a moderate improvement in economic growth in Tunisia for the year 2025. According to its latest report titled "Jobs and Women: Untapped Talent, Unrealized Growth", published in October 2025, the real GDP growth rate in Tunisia is expected to reach 2.6%, compared to an estimated 1.6% in 2024.
For the following years, the World Bank anticipates a slight slowdown, with growth of 2.5% in 2026 and 2.2% in 2027.
At the regional level, Tunisia remains below the average of oil-importing countries in the MENA region, which is expected to experience growth of 3.7% in 2025. However, the positive revision reflects a measured confidence in the country's medium-term economic stabilization.
