National Committee Approves New Agricultural and Fishing Projects

The National Committee for Granting Benefits, under the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), gave its approval on Friday to a new series of projects in the agriculture and fishing sectors, with a total estimated value of 10.8 million dinars.

Project Details

These projects, validated during the fifth meeting of the committee in 2026, will be implemented in several regions of the country, including:

  • Mahdia
  • Monastir
  • Nabeul
  • Sidi Bouzid according to a statement published by the APIA. They are expected to contribute to the development of agricultural and fishing activities, as well as strengthen investments in these sectors.

Support for Young Farmers

In addition, the committee also approved the allocation of land credits to young farmers in the Kasserine governorate. This financing will enable the acquisition of agricultural land covering a total area of 19.5 hectares, with a budget of 405,000 dinars.

Objectives

This initiative aims to facilitate access to agricultural land for young people and encourage the establishment of new investors in the agricultural sector, particularly in rural areas.
