Minister of Health Meets with Indian Pharmaceutical Company Tenshi
The Minister of Health, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, received officials from the Indian company Tenshi, which specializes in the production of generic and innovative medicines. The meeting allowed for an update on the progress of joint projects, carried out in partnership with the Tunisian Society of Pharmaceutical Industries (SIPHAT).
Collaboration and Investment
This collaboration is part of a dynamic of support for investment and development of local pharmaceutical production. Tenshi has already launched manufacturing activities in Tunisia, in cooperation with SIPHAT, contributing to the strengthening of national capacities in this strategic sector.
Strengthening Pharmaceutical Sovereignty
On this occasion, the Minister reaffirmed Tunisia's orientation towards strengthening its pharmaceutical sovereignty and promoting local production. According to a statement, he emphasized that the pharmaceutical industry is expected to play a key role in the country's economic development and constitute an export platform to African and Arab markets.
Healthcare Reforms and Development
The Minister also stressed the need to continue reforms of the healthcare and pharmaceutical system, calling for a faster and more concrete implementation of projects, based on investment, transfer of skills, job creation, and improved access for citizens to safe and effective medicines.
