4th International Conference on Advanced Geospatial Sciences and Technologies (4eTeanGeo 2024) Kicks Off in Tunis
The 4th International Conference on Advanced Geospatial Sciences and Technologies (4eTeanGeo 2024) commenced in Tunis on Tuesday, October 22, and will continue for two days, bringing together researchers, specialists, and professionals to discuss the latest technological innovations.
Organized by the Regional Center for Remote Sensing of North African States (CRTEAN) under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, this event aims to strengthen scientific and technological collaboration within the Arab region.
In this context, the Minister of Higher Education, Mondher Belaid, highlighted the importance of this conference for the development of geospatial technologies in Tunisia, which is relying on its human resources to master these advances.
He also mentioned the country's efforts to integrate satellite technologies into sectors such as agriculture, water resource management, border security, and counter-terrorism.
Hedi Gashut, Director General of CRTEAN, called on Arab countries to strengthen cooperation in the field of space technologies to better address climate challenges and natural disasters.
