Tunisia Receives First Batch of 111 New Buses from China
Tunisia received, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, a first batch of 111 new buses at the port of La Goulette, including several articulated buses, manufactured by King Long, a Chinese company. This delivery is part of a global agreement worth an estimated 152 million dinars.
This Sino-Tunisian partnership was sealed following the visit of Minister Amri to the King Long factory in February 2025. During his visit, he inspected the production lines and was briefed on the quality standards, delivery schedules, and energy performance of the buses. The Ministry had already announced on May 17th the start of the loading process of the vehicles from the port of Xiamen. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize public transportation infrastructure in the country.
