Investment for Jobs Facility Launches New Call for Projects
The Investment for Jobs Facility program, part of the "Decent Work for a Just Transition" initiative created by the German Development Bank (KfW) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has launched a new call for projects. This call for projects concerns the following countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia.
Objective
The primary objective of this program is to create jobs in the private sector. Jobs created in the public sector are not accepted, except for public enterprises with legal personality and commercial purpose.
Eligibility
The call for projects is open to all sectors of activity. Grants are only available for projects that will create new jobs in the private sector. Preference is given to projects that combine job creation and the promotion of labor migration to Germany.
Grant Amounts
The program offers, for the job creation component, grants ranging from €800,000 to €10,000,000 per project, applicable to all concerned countries.
Eligibility Criteria
For private sector applicants, the requested grant amount cannot exceed 200% of the average turnover over the last 3 years. For public, civil society, and non-governmental organization applicants, the requested grant amount cannot exceed 400% of the average budget over the last 3 years.
Timeline
The call for projects will start on:
- March 20, 2026, for Ghana, Senegal, and Tunisia
- April 15, 2026, for Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, and Morocco The deadline for submission is:
- June 1, 2026, for the first three countries
- June 30, 2026, for the last three countries
