Tunisian President Meets with Chinese Counterpart to Strengthen Strategic Partnership

The President of the Tunisian Republic, Kaïs Saïed, met with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, in Beijing on Friday, May 31, 2024. The two leaders officially established a strategic partnership between China and Tunisia, according to a statement from the Presidency.

This meeting also marked the celebration of a six-decade-long friendship and the signing of 7 agreements across various domains:

  • Cooperation Agreement between the Tunis Afrique Presse Agency and Xinhua News Agency
  • Memorandum of Understanding between Tunisian Television and the China Media Group

Notably, both countries expressed their intention to strengthen their cooperation in various areas, including:
