Environment Minister Announces 20 Million Dinar Investment in Environmental Sector for 2025

The Minister of Environment, Habib Abid, announced on Monday that a budget of 20 million dinars will be dedicated in 2025 to encourage investments in the environmental sector.

Abid detailed the ministry's actions in favor of ecological transition. He indicated that a commission will be responsible for developing a roadmap for the implementation of the national strategy for ecological transition, in addition to an action plan to be deployed in the coming years.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of simplifying procedures for investors interested in this field, thanks to a remote file submission system. This device aims to ensure greater transparency and equity.

Abid also launched a program to facilitate investment procedures. This includes, in particular, the abolition of certain authorizations, replaced by specifications, which should encourage the rapid implementation of environmental projects.

In the same context, the ministry highlighted the many job opportunities offered by the environmental sector. Waste valorization, recycling, digital technologies related to the environment, and the creation of green spaces are areas in full expansion.

The Minister also highlighted investment opportunities in the circular, blue, and green economy, with a particular call to entrepreneurship among young people and startups.
