Tunisia Ecosystem Week: A Hub for African Investment

November 4-6, 2024: A First for Tunisia

The Tunisia Ecosystem Week is set to welcome a delegation of 70 African investment professionals for the first time, from November 4 to 6, 2024. Organized by V3 Factory and Dream VC, this event aims to establish bridges between international investors and Tunisian entrepreneurs, reinforcing Tunisia's position as a key technological hub in Africa.

Supported by International and Local Partners

The gathering is supported by several international and local partners, including the Special Initiative "Decent Jobs for a Just Transition", Invest for Jobs of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), and Smart Capital. The event also benefits from the support of the Qawafel project, funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and implemented by Expertise France.

Three Days of Networking and Knowledge Sharing

Over the course of three days, the event will offer workshops and networking opportunities designed to encourage the exchange of expertise and strengthen investment readiness. The event brings together venture capitalists, business angels, and influential investors from Africa's most recognized firms, who will discover the potential of Tunisia's talent pool.

A Unique Opportunity for Investors

On the first day of the event, speakers, including Tarek Triki, General Manager of Smart Capital, and Nejia Gharbi, General Manager of the CDC, emphasized the importance of this type of event in Tunisia and its ability to attract more investors to the country. For them, this immersion is a unique opportunity for investors to explore the Tunisian market in-depth and better understand the country's specific challenges and opportunities.

Addressing the Challenges of Tunisian Startups

According to Sarah Ben Younes, CEO of V3 Factory, Tunisian ecosystem players have already proven their ability to stand out with notable exits that have put Tunisia in the African spotlight, but the number of startups and access to financing remain a challenge. She explains that the Tunisia Ecosystem Week is primarily designed to address this obstacle by creating strategic encounters between investors and promising local startups.
