Tunisair Sees 13.8% Revenue Increase in Q4 2024

Tunisair, the national airline of Tunisia, has reported a 13.8% increase in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2024, reaching 354 million dinars (Mtnd).

This growth is primarily attributed to a 16.2% increase in the number of passengers transported, exceeding 630,000 travelers.

For the entire year of 2024, Tunisair estimates that it has transported over 2.611 million passengers.

However, the airline observed a 3.7% decrease in average revenue per passenger on regular flights, dropping from 432 dinars at the end of 2023 to 416 dinars in December 2024.

On the other hand, Tunisair improved its load factor and cargo load factor, with increases of 5 points and 2 points, respectively.

The airline's expenses also increased, with a 16% rise in aircraft leasing costs and an additional 27 Mtnd in leasing fees.

In contrast, fuel expenses decreased by 19%, reaching 88.6 Mtnd, thanks to a 24.5% drop in the average unit price of a barrel.

Finally, personnel expenses increased by 5%, reaching 67.6 Mtnd, due to legally mandated salary increases.
