Temporary Traffic Changes on Regional Road 22
Temporary traffic changes will be implemented on Regional Road 22 as part of the development work on the southern entrance to the capital. The change affects the area around the La Cagna bridge, with a new phase of diversion coming into effect on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
New Traffic Rules
According to the plan announced by the Ministry of Equipment and Housing, the traffic rules will be as follows:
- Users coming from Mornag, Hammamet, and southern areas heading towards the city center of Tunis, the airport, or Bizerte must stay on the left lane at the La Cagna bridge and continue on the main road.
- Those heading towards La Cagna or Bab Alioua must move to the right lane at the same bridge.
Safety Precautions
The authorities urge drivers to follow the signage in place, reduce their speed, and remain attentive throughout the construction zone to avoid accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow.
