Archaeological Discoveries in Chott El-Jerid and Chott Al-Gharsa Regions Shed Light on Prehistoric, Ancient, and Roman Eras
Research on human settlements in the Chott El-Jerid and Chott Al-Gharsa regions has uncovered several archaeological sites and pottery pieces dating back to prehistoric, ancient, and Roman times.
This research was conducted as part of an international partnership between the National Heritage Institute and the University of Tulsa in the United States.
These findings can enrich archaeological and historical research on the relationship between humans and their desert and geological environments, as well as our understanding of how humans interacted with climate changes in the region throughout history.
