Mobile Passport Production Center Launched to Enhance National Security

A mobile passport production center has been established to support national security efforts in various regions, allowing citizens to directly access the center. This is one of the new measures taken by the Directorate-General of Borders and Foreigners to improve the quality of services offered to Tunisian citizens, including the delivery of administrative documents such as passports and residence permits, as well as entry and exit procedures from Tunisian territory.

Dedicated Space for Tunisians Living Abroad

According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, a new dedicated space will be created at the headquarters of the Directorate-General of Borders and Foreigners to receive passport applications from Tunisians living abroad. This space will offer administrative services seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, ensuring that applicants receive their passports on the same day, with a short delay (except for complex cases requiring consultation with other structures).

Passport Preparation Units at Airports and Ports

Additionally, passport preparation units will be set up at the border police commissariats of Tunis-Carthage Airport, La Goulette Port, and Zarzis Port.

FCR Regime: Digital Communication for Faster Processing

To benefit from the FCR regime, the Directorate-General of Borders and Foreigners, in collaboration with the Customs Directorate-General, has adopted email for more efficient digital communication, enabling faster receipt and processing of applications.
