Tunisian Shipping Company Sees 7% Increase in Reservations

The Tunisian Shipping Company (CTN) has recorded approximately 165,385 reservations as of June 18, 2024, representing a 7% increase compared to the same period last year, according to CTN CEO Farhat Zouaghi.

Speaking to the Tunisian Press Agency (TAP) on board the "Tanit" ship at the port of Marseille, Zouaghi also announced that 55,774 vehicles have been registered as of June 18, 2024, a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

In fact, the "Tanit" ship will transport Tunisian expatriates from Marseille to Tunisia today, Thursday, June 20, 2024.

About the "Tanit" Ship

The "Tanit" ship was built between 2011 and 2012 in South Korea. It has a capacity of 3,200 passengers and 1,060 vehicles, measuring 220 meters in length. The ship is designed to provide a comfortable journey between Marseille and Tunis, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Special Offers for Tunisian Expatriates

Zouaghi highlighted that the CTN offers easier payment options and special prices for Tunisian expatriates. Ticket prices vary depending on supply and demand.

Summer Schedule

The "Tanit" and "Carthage" ships will make 148 voyages between June 15 and September 15, 2024, with a total capacity of 400,952 passengers and 126,350 vehicles.

The CTN will operate 76 voyages from the port of Marseille and 72 from the port of Genoa, with nine voyages to the port of Zarzis. Ticket prices for the "Tanit" and "Carthage" ships remain the same as in 2023.
