The digital transformation of the administration is moving forward. By 2025, several projects have been finalized and are now operational, as reported in the ministerial council held on February 13, 2026, dedicated to monitoring digital projects.
Clear Objectives
The stated objective is clear: simplify the lives of Tunisians, reduce delays, limit bureaucracy, and strengthen transparency.
Public Services Go Digital
Among the most visible achievements is the unified portal for administrative services, which allows access to several procedures online without having to travel. A concrete change for users.
- The payment of the right of circulation can now be done remotely.
- The tax stamp has become electronic, resulting in less paper, less waiting, and more traceability.
Healthcare Sector
In the healthcare sector, the first phase of the digital hospital project has been launched, aiming to improve the management of medical data and coordination between establishments.
- The Najda.tn platform is also operational to strengthen the management of emergency situations.
Supporting the Economy and Investment
Digitalization is not limited to services for citizens; it also affects the economic environment.
- The Easy Export platform simplifies procedures for exporting companies.
- Requests for building permits can now be made via the "Tameer" platform, reducing delays and making procedures more transparent.
- A national register of community companies has also been launched in a first phase, allowing for better monitoring of this economic model.
Simplified Procedures for Citizens
Certain measures have a direct impact on daily life. Students can now request their identity card remotely. A digital border crossing card has also been introduced thanks to the interconnection of systems.
- Digital services have been developed in the social sector and for procedures related to nationality.
Ongoing Projects
In total, 192 digital projects are currently being monitored by the authorities. The year 2026 is presented as the year of the effective start of the complete digitalization of the administration, within the framework of the 2026-2030 development plan.
